TITLE

About the retreat

The retreat is a balanced mix of training, relaxation, reflection, and connection. Most days include two group training sessions at Sinbi Muay Thai, a gym close to my heart. The coaches are experienced, approachable, and used to teaching everyone from complete beginners to experienced fighters.

In order to ensure you make the most out of the retreat, beyond the training, we will have a 45-minute 1:1 coaching session before the retreat to reflect on your goals and help you prepare for the experience. After the retreat, we will have a follow up to see how you can bring the energy, focus, and lessons home with you.

We will stay in Rawai, Phuket, at Saturdays Residence, a peaceful and stylish retreat space designed for comfort and downtime. Each participant has their own private bedroom and bathroom, and the shared spaces invite both conversation and calm.

The schedule also leaves room for rest and personal time, as well as experiences that make this trip special. These include specialized yoga and strength and conditioning session designed for Muay Thai, fight night, a girl’s trip to the world’s only floating beach club, and opportunities to explore Phuket together.

Every participant will receive a full Muay Thai outfit from Athena Fightwear, tailored specifically for women, so you can step into training fully prepared.

“It is one of the most meaningful and valuable investments I’ve ever made”

Attending this retreat was truly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I knew beforehand that it would be an amazing experience, but I could never have imagined the impact it would actually have on me. The people, the surroundings, the sense of community – it all shifted something inside me in the best possible way. The combination of training, connecting with new people, and sharing experiences – especially in a place as beautiful as Thailand – made the whole retreat feel truly special. I can wholeheartedly recommend this retreat to anyone – it is one of the most meaningful and valuable investments I’ve ever made.

“I had the best time and it made me fall in love with Muay Thai all over again!”

Cannot recommend this enough! Cecilie was amazing at introducing us to Sinbi Muay Thai and suggest how to approach the training/rest while we were there. There was a great balance between training and social activities with opportunity to participate as much or little as you would like. I went not knowing anyone, but Cecilie put together a great group of people to enjoy the whole experience with. I had the best time and it made me fall in love with Muay Thai all over again! Thank you.

“The journey of a lifetime”

The journey of a lifetime. If you’re not already in great shape, this retreat will definitely get you into the best shape of your life. Training at Sinbi Muay Thai is amazing – the team is very inclusive, and you feel welcome no matter your level. The community with the other women and Cecilie has been wonderful. There’s a great balance between training, social time, and relaxation. I’m really looking forward to the next retreat.

Women’s only retreat

Who is the retreat for?

This retreat is designed for women who already loves or are curious about Muay Thai and want to experience Muay Thai in Thailand in a supportive female group.

It’s suitable for all levels – from complete beginners who have never trained before, to experienced fighters looking to refine their technique. The trainers at Sinbi are used to working with all levels, so there’s no need to worry. I promise it will be fun, and you’ll forget about any hesitation the moment you start.

It’s important to note that you’re in charge of how much you want to learn. The trainers are there to guide you, but it’s up to you how much you choose to challenge yourself – a gentle reminder that in life, as in training, growth happens when you take responsibility for it.

The retreat is also for those who value balance. You’ll have time to train, connect with others, and share experiences, but there’s also space for quiet moments to rest, reflect, or simply enjoy your surroundings.

If you’re looking for a retreat that combines physical challenge, personal growth, and a welcoming environment, this is a space for you.

Your host

Hi there! My name is Cecilie

My name is Cecilie Als Nybo. Muay Thai has been part of my life for over eight years, and I’ve spent several of those years in Thailand – a place that has become my second home.

Alongside teaching Muay Thai for about five years, I’m also educated as a mindset coach. My work focuses on helping people feel confident and capable in their bodies, without pressure or performance. I care deeply about creating training environments that feel safe, respectful, and grounded.

What motivates me to host these retreats is the joy of introducing women to Muay Thai, particularly in its country of origin, and to Thailand itself, a country and a people that are close to my heart. Sharing the sport in the environment it comes from, and seeing women grow more comfortable in their bodies while experiencing everyday life in Thailand, is why I organize retreats like this.

I look forward to welcome you.

I STILL HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS

If you’re from Denmark, you can also book your flight ticket through the travel agency for convenience.

03. Is it safe to book through you?

Yes. I collaborate with a Danish travel agency, so all purchases are covered under Danish law.

04. Where is the retreat taking place?

The retreat takes place in Rawai, a peaceful area in the south of Phuket. It’s a quieter part of the island, with calm beaches, local markets, and a relaxed atmosphere – the perfect balance between exploration and downtime.

Training takes place at Sinbi Muay Thai, a gym close to my heart. It’s known for its welcoming energy, professional coaches, and inclusive environment. The gym is fully equipped, and the trainers are experienced in working with all levels – from complete beginners to advanced fighters.

You’ll stay nearby at Saturday’s Residence, a calm and very stylish retreat space designed for rest and comfort. From here, it’s easy to get to training, enjoy some local life, or simply relax in your own space between sessions.

05. Are flights included?

No. Flights are not included, as participants travel from all over the world and some may want extra days before or after the retreat.

06. Do I need travel insurance?

If you don’t have a world wide insurance with your insurance company, you can draw a single trip insurance with them. We don’t recommend to travel without one.

07. How many participants are on the retreat?

Maximum 12 women, ensuring a personal and supportive atmosphere.

08. How are the training sessions structured?

Each session usually begins with a 10+ minute warm-up – you can run in the gym or skip rope (bring your own rope if you like). This is followed by stretching and rounds of shadow boxing, with guidance for beginners.

Next comes heavy bag work or pad sessions with a trainer. Most sessions also include the possibility of sparring and clinching, but only if you want to – nothing is compulsory.

After it’s usaully the option of technique drills and clinching. Followed by a finisher.

All group sessions are two hours.

Morning sessions are 07.00-09.30
Afternoon session are 16.00-18.00

09. Are all meals included?

Breakfast is included, as well as the welcome and farewell dinners. Other meals are not included, since participants have very different preferences and schedules.

10. Do I need to bring any equipment?

It’s good to bring plenty of gym clothes. Gloves, shin pads, and hand wraps can be bought during a short trip to a gear shop on one of the first days, and Sinbi also has a small shop in reception.

11. How physically demanding is the retreat?

It is challenging – especially with the heat. Preparing beforehand helps you get the most out of the experience. But Trainers at Sinbi accommodate all fitness levels every day – and I often see people showing up with minimum fitness level and still pulling through the sessions.

12. What if I’m a complete beginner?

No problem. Trainers are used to all levels, and the energy at Sinbi is welcoming and encouraging.

13. What are the accomendation options?

There are 2 different room types (see prices further up in the FAQ).

You can choose to stay in a 1 bedroom by yourself or share a 2 bedroom apartment with another person, where you each have your own room and the apartment also has 2 bathrooms.

If you choose a 2-bedrom apartment, and you come with a friend, you can ofc share with them. Otherwise, I’ll do my best to match you with someone based on your preferences for social time and downtime.

14. Can I talk to someone before booking?

Yes, of course. You’re very welcome to reach out to me if you have questions or want to talk things through before booking. I’m happy to help you decide whether the retreat is the right fit for you.
